Filtermat recommends that FiltaPleat HFC cartridges be replaced at a pressure differential of 1.5 bar under normal use – the operating conditions above should be considered maximum pressure differentials for short-term use without problems of cartridge failure.

  • Construction materials:
    • Filter media: PP – Polypropylene (0.5 – 1 – 5 – 10 – 20 – 40 – 50 – 70 and 90 µm)
      GP – Borosilicate glass fiber with epoxy resin binder (0.5 – 1 – 2 – 5 – 10 – 20 and 40 µm)
    • Housing, core and end caps: P – all polypropylene
      S – polypropylene end caps and 304 St.St. core and housing
      N – Nylon end caps and 304 ST.ST. core and housing
    • Extended life: PP – Polypropylene : 5, 10 and 20 µm

OVERALL OPERATION

FiltaPleat HFC High Surface Area Cartridges use pleated depth media that offer maximum efficiency and exceptionally high flow rates. Designed for industrial processes where high performance is required. Its low pressure loss and high dirt capacity make it the ideal choice for polishing applications. Proprietary developments have optimized the pleated filter media to maintain strength at all flow rates.

By default, two media options are offered, the PP and GP. The PP features the specific CRY Cryptosporidium grade designed for food and beverage applications. The standard series is manufactured using polypropylene end caps and internal support core. Filtermat Filters also offers cartridges manufactured with stainless steel cage and core and nylon end fittings. These are particularly suitable for applications where higher temperature values are required or where compatibility may be an issue. Thermal welding processes seal all components, eliminate adhesives and extractables and optimize filter cartridge integrity.
