Single cartridge
high pressure filters
SCT series

The single cartridge SCT series filter housings are integrally manufactured in AISI 316L stainless steel to be chemically compatible with most fluids. They are suitable to install one filter cartridge in DOE, M3 or threaded arrangement, with lengths from 6" to 40".

The head is secured to the bowl with four threaded rods, allowing the use of the SCT series with low flowrates at high pressures. The head/flanged body section is manufactured by a precision micro casting, while the seal is guaranteed by a polymeric O-ring gasket.

The described type of head/bowl closure and the O-ring gasket seal make the SCT series housings suitable to handle with high safety both liquids and gas even at very high pressures.

CHARACTERISTICS

  • 100% AISI 316L construction
  • suitable for operating pressures up to 60 bar (60 bar @ 30 °C - 50 bar @ 100°C)
  • in-line in/out connections for easy installation
  • O-ring head/bowl seal
  • head manufactured by lost wax micro casting system
  • suitable for cartridges from 6" to 40"
  • installation of DOE cartridges independent from bowl, to allow use of both "soft" or "hard" cartridges.
  • double O-ring positive seal with M3 or M7 fittings, eliminates risk of fluid by-pass especially when < 10µm cartridges are installed
  • designed to allow visual checking of the installed cartridge prior to bowl closure
  • supporting bracket available as option

DP values shown are referred to the housing only. Verify with each individual cartridge flow rate diagram to determine the initial DP. For liquids other than water, multiply the DP value by the specific gravity of the fluid.

The filters will not be marked with the CE stamp as they fall within art. 3, par. 3 of the Directive 97/23/CE PED. For higher pressures and temperatures, please contact Filtermat.
The use of filter housings at safe temperatures and pressures depend from the filter element and gasket installed, related to the processed fluids. In case of doubt, please contact Filtermat to verify the chemical compatibility.
