Single cartridge
HCR / HCD series

The single cartridge HC series filter housings are the logical scale up of the SC series; they can therefore handle liquid or gas flow rates definitely greater with reduced installation costs due to the housing head being manufactured by precision micro casting.
The single cartridge HC series filter housings are integrally manufactured in AISI 316L stainless steel to be chemically compatible with most fluids.

They are suitable to install one filter cartridge in DOE, M6 or M7 arrangement, with lengths of 10", 20", 30" or 40".
The head closure is assured by a sturdy micro cast V-clamp quick opening system.
The threaded closure style DIN 11851 is available as an option to allow the use of the HCD series housings with hazardous liquids or gas.

CHARACTERISTICS

  • 100% AISI 316L construction
  • suitable for operating pressures up to 15 bar
  • V-clamp closure does not require special tools to open or close housing
  • heavy duty designed V-clamp closure as standard item
  • the optional DIN 11851 closure makes the housing suitable also for gas filtration
  • in line in/out connections for easy installation
  • O-ring head/bowl seal
  • head manufactured by lost wax micro casting system
  • suitable for cartridge length from 10" to 40"
  • installation of DOE cartridges independent from bowl, to allow use of both "soft" or "hard" cartridges
  • double O-ring positive seal with M6 or M7 fittings, eliminates risk of fluid by-pass especially when < 10µm cartridges are installed
  • designed to allow visual checking of the installed cartridge prior to bowl closure
  • accepts also pleated mesh cartridges with increased inside/outside diameter for higher flow rates

The filters will not bear the the CE mark and a CE Declaration of Conformity will not be released in accordance with art. 3 par. 3 of the Directive 97/23/CE PED. For higher pressures and temperatures, please contact Filtermat. HCR series housings are NOT SUITABLE for gas filtration.
The use of filter housings at safe temperatures and pressures depend from the filter element and gasket installed, related to the processed fluids. In case of doubt, please contact Filtermat to verify the chemical compatibility.
